Many questions have been raised in forums regarding how Starcraft 2 Ladders work?
Here are what I gathered from a variety of forums and blog on Starcraft 2:
- You play 10 placement matches and depending on your win/loss ratio you are placed in a division of a certain league (ex. division 8 of bronze league). Divisions are only used to segregate people due to the number of people placed in a league.
- You play during placement matches to a variety of skill level and Battle.net team watches you and judges on where you are to be placed depending upon difficulty of matches and win-loss record.
