I am missing the good old broodwar days. Those were the days when you could just connect through your telephone line to play against your friend without going into your Battle.net account.
I am hoping that later on Blizzard would restore that functionality, because not everyone would like to play against someone online that they don’t know. It is more enjoyable to play against your classmates or friends.
At that time, I usually play Starcraft Broodwar games against more than one opponent by phone line connections. It was indeed very enjoyable and you get to brag against your friends about your game results. The lack of internet connection is not a hindrance to enjoying a Starcraft game! My favorite race at that time was Protoss, then Terran. I rarely play as Zerg.

i think Blizzard would not bring it back anymore, they make it online in order to secure the game against pirates
How about those that don’t have fast internet connections, they are deprived of enjoying Starcraft 2 offline.
