Terran Building Order

Most gamers who played Starcraft for the first time choose Terran as their race. Why? Because Terran technologies and weapons resemble much of those used in the real world.

However, against a seasoned Starcraft player using another race like the Protoss or the Zerg, newbies quickly find themselves at the losing end. Even against against opponents using Terran against them, they quickly find themselves under attack and quickly losing the game.

What’s the most usual reason newbies lose games quickly?

Partly, the reason is they don’t know that they should immediately setup a defense against player’s employing a Rush Strategy, which means to attack and win early!

If ever they know they have to setup an immediate defense against a Terran Rush, Protoss Rush or Zerg Rush… the problem is

they don’t know the correct —> build order. To quickly master the correct terran building order, click here.

What’s a build order anyway?

A build order is the order in which you produce units or structures in Starcraft. This post does not recommend any Terran building order since build orders vary according to the strategy that you would like to pursue or how your opponent plays the game of Starcraft.

The important thing for a Terran player though is to immediately secure as soon as possible his base by putting barricades and bunkers to hold his marines. The barricades are usually in the form of barracks in front to close your base and bunkers at the back of barracks. While a Zerg rush is trying to destroy your Terran barracks wall, your marines inside your Terran bunkers are firing into the Zergs thus foiling an attempt to rush your Terran base.
